Heat pump drying is a different process to a vented or condenser machine. Warm air is recirculated inside the cabinet and the moisture it carries is condensed out, so the heat is reused rather than thrown away, and the drum runs at a lower temperature throughout. The practical result is drying that is kinder to cottons and wool, and running costs below a comparable vented or condenser dryer.
