Teknix TKES54B Freestanding 50cm Single Cavity Electric Cooker with Solid Plate Hob - Black - A Rated

The TKES54B is a 50cm freestanding electric cooker in black with a single 61L cavity and a solid plate hob. It is the entry point in the Teknix cooker range and a sensible specification for rental properties, holiday lets and second kitchens where robustness and low cost matter more than features.

Solid plate hobs remain popular in that market for a reason. The sealed cast plates take heavy pans without the risk of cracking a glass surface, they are cheap to replace if one ever fails, and there is no electronic control to go wrong. Two of the four plates are rated at 1000W and two at 1500W, giving a straightforward spread for a small household.

A single cavity keeps the cooker simple, and at 61L it is a usable size for a 50cm appliance, taking a decent roasting tin rather than being limited to small trays. Three cooking functions are offered, which covers the everyday range without burying the controls in options tenants will never use.

The interior is lined in easy-clean enamel and the door glass is removable for cleaning, both of which help when the appliance has to be turned around between occupants. One wire shelf is supplied. The cooker is 49.6cm wide, 60.0cm deep and 90.0cm high with a net weight of 35.2kg, carries an A energy rating, and comes with two years of warranty cover on registration.
